Sad face and confidence?

I have a sad face -- very dark circles that are genetic, 24 hour beard shadow, sorrowful eyes, serious look, moderate balding, etc...

I am tired or girls asking me why I am sad all the time -- because I am not! I am reasonably confident, except for my looks.that often make me feel low. My pics are terrible and I look like I stepped out of rehab and depression (but I am not depressed and generally am an optimist!). I am also not overweight or short...but my pics make me look very bad because of the sad face.

How can I increase my confidence (which is not low, but probably needs to be much higher to compensate for my looks)?

Women, how can I be more successful in the dating game with this face?

I would appreciate young girls not answering, as they usually say balding eww...body hair eww etc..

The two things that would make a difference is a hair transplant and makeup in my dark circles. However, as yet, I am not keen on either.

Seeking mature advice only.

Sad face and confidence?

Don't worry about your pictures. It's what's in person that counts. As far as having a sad face, I know how that is. People tell me I look tragic. However, a lot of smiling and alert eyes (a little bit more open than at rest and slightly raised eyebrows) go very, very far- not just in how you appear but how approachable and desirable you are.

I have a problem with lack of confidence as well and have been working on it. I would try simply initiating conversations with strangers- anybody. You will be surprised. I was.

Sad face and confidence?

smile all the time

Sad face and confidence?

smile more,it increases the value of your face and what people think about you.

Sad face and confidence?

29 yr old f advice here!!!

Confident is not a look...its in your walk, your laughter, the way you carry yourself.

I will tell you this. I dated a man and by looks he was a 3 but his swagger and levels of confident man testosterone was a 10..so its all in how you carry yourself. Have you ever met a woman who was not so attractive but something about her just ate away at you?

Irregular female hairline; PLEASE read and advise!!!?

Hi,

I think I have somewhat of an 'inverted hairline.' the center most part of my hairline seems to be receding a little bit due to excessive ponytails and gel usage, but is still noticeable. however, i have hair on the sides of my temples, because that's how my mom's hairline is. it doesn't recede or 'box' like most people's. i'm embarrassed to admit that it kind of looks like a bell shaped curve from front view and from the side view, i don't know how to explain it. it just looks horrible!!!

i always wear my hair to the side because any other style looks so bad. i also have thick hair and bangs are NOT an option because i have wavy/curly hair. i don't want to straighten, either.

should i go for a hair transplant? i'm female. i even get conscious when i swim because my hair goes back and i have to check every time i jump in.

hairline kind of looks like the guy's in the link below, but mine is more 'rounded.'

Irregular female hairline; PLEASE read and advise!!!?

If it makes you feel better. Yes.

Irregular female hairline; PLEASE read and advise!!!?

If its redeced due to "damage" it will grow back. This use to be a fashion, women use to shave their foreheads to get this look.

A good hair dresser can give you bangs and make it look good, doesn't matter how thick your hair is.

I would seriously talk to doc BEFORE considering any type of surgery.

Irregular female hairline; PLEASE read and advise!!!?

Some dermatologists will do cortisone injections at the site of the hair loss to help stimulate growth. Just so you know, it HURTS!

Has anyone undergone hair transplantation surgery in Poland?

I am considering having hair transplant surgery at some point in the near future %26amp; would very much like to know if anyone has had the procedure done in Poland.

The reason I am considering Poland is the obvious one - cost! Surely it has to be cheaper than having it done in London or elsewhere in the UK. But what are the pros and cons? Do the consultants tend to speak English to a high enough standard? What about aftercare? How long would I have to remain in Poland? Is it possible to have a consultation done here in London %26amp; send the written report to the clinic in Poland in order to get a price estimate? And above all - are the standards comparable to the UK/US?

I am very interested in hearing from anyone who has undergone the procedure in Poland - or anyone who has left the UK %26amp; had the procedure done abroad in order to save on costs.

Please let me know if you have any experiences to share. Many thanks!

I'm going bald and now I just shave my head. Forget hair transplants, wigs, comb overs and other cr@p. When you have a hair transplant, they literally cut out hair follicles from the back of your head and move them to the top. You will have a bunch of tiny little scars shaped like x's all over your scalp. Granted you cannot seem them if you keep your hair long enough to cover them, but it also means you can't cut your hair short with clippers without them being visible. It is a pretty dramatic surgery, and no offense, but I think a person would have to be one vain motherf*cker to undergo that kind of surgery. Pretty much like the chicks do with their breast and face surgeries. Vain and ridiculous. If your bald head makes you feel that bad about yourself though, I guess go ahead and do it.

Has anyone undergone hair transplantation surgery in Poland?

why bother bald is beautiful and dont take advice on here about surgery ask your docs advice

Has anyone undergone hair transplantation surgery in Poland?

I'm with Julie ask your MD.......

Poland???

Has anyone undergone hair transplantation surgery in Poland?

Sweetie, don't you know bald is the new stylish thing? Bald men are hot! Shave your head and embrace it. I guarantee you'll have more female interest than you would with hair transplants...and it's cheaper. Bald guys who try to hang on to their hair are....well...tacky.

There's nothig hotter than a bald guy in a suit. Except maybe a bald man in a military uniform.

Hair Transplantation surgery has become very common now. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost surgery in India. Indian corporate hospitals are comparable to hospitals anywhere in the world. In fact, India has medical facilities that are comparable with the USA, UK and Canada. India offers World Class Medical Facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. India has state of the art Hospitals and the best medical experts. With the best infrastructure, the best possible Medical facilities, accompanied with the most competitive prices, you can get the treatment done in India at the lowest prices.

Hope this helps.

Rogaine for chest/body hair growth?

My father is hairy as a bear, so I always expected to grow up to be as hairy as the other men in my family. Well, it's clear now, I'm stuck with a very small patch of fine hair in the middle, and get teased by the "real" men for looking like a teenager! I'd like to finally get the genetic rug I am entitled to...I feel like Stephen Baldwin, the one hairless Baldwin brother!!!!!

Has anyone used Rogaine to any effect? There is a doc in Florida that does transplants to give you a properly adult chest, but would rather avoid surgery. NO jokes please; to me this is like being a flat-chested girl in a family of double- Ds!!!

Rogaine for chest/body hair growth?

I think you should look into the side effects of Rogaine, and if you are willing to deal with them then by all means go for it. You have to make the choice yourself as only you can make yourself truly happy.

Rogaine for chest/body hair growth?

HAHAHAHA i like your sttory

but serioulsy today their arent many people that like hairy chests

tell the other men in your familt that their stuck in the 70's

Rogaine for chest/body hair growth?

I say, don't worry aout your family. Most girls like a hair free chest.

I really think the propecia and rogaine are for the head and not the body. They are used to prevent DHT from attacking the hair follicles. They dont just make hair grow. It just get rid of the DHT that is causing hair loss.

nice thick full bangs down in front, not side swept

How can i diminish the lok of a big forehead????

Try some bangs in front or try some longer bangs to the side. It should reduce the appearance of a long forehead.

Or you could try some jagged bangs.

Very serious question for woman?

I am almost 40. My hair is getting scary thin.I have polycystic overy syndrome %26amp; I kopw thats one reason my hair could be thinning. I am seriously looking into hair transplant surgery and I want to know if anyone out there has done that and if so are you happy with the results and were did you get it done at?

Very serious question for woman?

Talk to your gynecologist. You are right hormonal balance may very well be the reason. If so, the problem itself needs to be addressed. You do not want to treat the symptoms of a problem and ignore the problem....because obviously the symptoms will not go away and quite possibly get worse. You need to identify and treat the source of the problem and then quite possibly, when the problem is taken care of the symptoms, such as hair loss will go away.

Because the study of medicine, health etc is so extensive, along with the fact there are many complex issues and symptoms that may be similar...people should not play doctor and nurse...without a license to practice. Even when one has a license to practice the scope is limited to giving advice. You must seek a facility and licensed staff who are able to examine you, run some labs and diagnose your specific condition. Please, curve the temptation to seek medical advice from the internet or from casual conversation. You would not own a Million dollar Fiero and let a back yard mechanic service or repair it...likewise, your health and body is the only body you will live in and travel through this life in. Be sure to get proper health maintenance for yourself! Best of health!

Very serious question for woman?

You might have a hereditary condition. Sure many woman get hair plants. If that is what you want then go for it. I would get a thorough exam to make sure it was not something that could be fixed.

Very serious question for woman?

Another reason your hair could be thinning is your thyroid - so have your thyroid tested. You should try other things before thinking about transplant. Hormones greatly affect hair growth. You should see an endocrinologist to help you figure it out.

Very serious question for woman?

shave your head ,and start suckin lollipops.

Very serious question for woman?

I personally have not had it, but I know someone (used to work here) who did have the hair transplant surgery. Let's just say it was NOT a success story. Something went wrong %26amp; he ended up with HORRIBLE scarring on his scalp. Now he has to wear a toupee or a hat because it messed his head up so badly. Granted, I am SURE that most cases don't end up that way; I am sure his is the exception rather than the rule, but he's the only person I know who's done it.

Very serious question for woman?

I have polycystic ovaries and my hair is fine. I am 48 and have changed by nutrition and mental/emotional capacity to heal. I don't believe in treating the symptoms. I look to heal at the source of the problem so that all parts of the body are taken care of. You may want to look for other sources of healing information so that you can discover a different way of responding to being dis-eased. Take care and be good to yourself. You deserve to have a great and beautiful body all of your life.

Very serious question for woman?

Many people have done that but you should consult the people who got it done from the place you want it to be done. So its not the transplant results which are important but also the place.
