I would suggest that you get a second opinion on this, and read the following article. You would want to make sure that your doctor looked at all kinds of possibilities having to do with your immune system, and also that she looked at your hair itself. You also need a medical opinion on whether the hair transplant will work, or whether you should wait a year and see whether it grows back (while you work on your health overall).

There could be lots of reasons why u are losing your hair, Anaemia could be one of them, lack of nutrients etc. So if you think what that doctor says was wrong why don't you not ask to see another one and get a second opinion. I'm not saying that it is those things though, keep that in mind. They are just possibilities.

im so sorry to hear this.
try biotin, inisitol, and zinc supplements.
i noticed after about a month you notice differences (hair breaking / falling out less is a big one)
stress can make you hair fall out... so if you think you are overstressed, try to eliminate some stressors for a while.

go get a second opinion and have your thyroid check.
Other than the hair loss--have you suffered from stress recently? like in the last 6 months? A death in the family of a close relative. An exceptionally bad time at work. Money problems. Relationship problems. The reason I ask is because you could have stress related alopecia.
about 10 years ago I had undergone an extended period of stress with ailing grandparents who I was caretaking and a bad situation at work and after things calmed down and were under control again, I started losing my hair. It fell out in clumps by the handful like I was undergoing chemo. All my medical tests checked out clean. After I went almost completely bald my hair started growing back in. My doctor never really was able to explain what happened other than it was stress related.

i'm so sorry to hear that...but, you should try to visit a specialist doctor or hairstylist, and discuss your doubts and concerns in details, as professionals know much better than us...
