Hair transplants....Do they work?

i have a small bald spot on the side of my head where i got burned a few years ago, I would love to have a shorter style but feel self concious and wondered if hair transplants are a worth while option

Hair transplants....Do they work?

I don't think it's a very good idea. My brother had it done... firstly the procedure was really painful, secondly there is a huge visible scar at the back of his head so it looks like he has been in a nasty fight, and lastly, there has been no real improvement in the growth of his hair!

Perhaps results are different for other people, but please take all of the points into consideration before making your decision!

In short, no. The scarring would be horrible over an existing burn scar. A kindly hairdresser or wig maker is probably the best bet

As they take hair from another part of your head, you won't be able to have really short hair. The place where the hair is taken usually has some scarring and it needs to stay covered to stop it being seen.

of Course they work my dad went to get hair transplants when he turned 50 because he had a bald spot. It looks great and he has no problems with it
