When hair is transplanted in hair transplants, does the transplanted hair grow as normal hair would?

I mean would that transplanted hair basically function like normal hair. If you cut it will it grow back? Or are you not meant to cut or trim it?

When hair is transplanted in hair transplants, does the transplanted hair grow as normal hair would?

Yes, if you have transplanted hair from the back or sides of your head, it will start to grow, again.

Here is an excerpt from an interesting article I found online, "Many patients who have had transplants (plugs or other grafts) are dismayed to find that their "new" hair falls out within six weeks after surgery. Remember, this condition is normal and almost always temporary. After hair falls out, it will take another five to six weeks before hair growth resumes. You can expect about a half-inch of growth per month."

While the hair will regrow, if it takes correctly, you may also experience hair loss that is temporary. New hair will grow back in its place. When it gets long, you simply have it cut/trimmed like normal.
